The hashtag mutiny continues today with the celebration of a birthday!
*This is crazy, a person a day for the whole year of 2016 to show love and appreciation to on social media. It may be someone in my everyday life or someone I may not have spoken to for years. All I know is I'm going to try everyday come rain or shine. There is no failing at this; every day I do it is a win. You can feel free to jump into this craziness with me and start today. The actual birthday wasn't today. She had it a few years back. Today I show my crazy love to Carol Mansour.
If you think this woman is beautiful in the photo, just sit down with her for ten minutes and you will feel and see TRUE BEAUTY!!!
I met Carol just under a year ago when I was shooting some footage for a group of folks from all kinds of religious backgrounds who have this "crazy love" kind of notion of their own. They spend time in dialogue but more importantly in action to bring peace and understanding to any and all on the fringe of society.
The work tirelessly to promote the beauty that is this life.
Carol is one such individual.
My wife and I had a beautiful time interviewing her and getting to know about her.
One of the hints she shared with us is her faith. She is Baha'i and I gotta admit I knew very little about the faith.
I had a crash course in it with Zach Anner on Soul Pancake but really didn't understand what it was all about.
Carol shared with us the belief structure and viewpoints of the Baha'i and it was a beautiful refreshment to is both.
More than that, I saw in her a sense of joy and compassion that we all long for in a daily basis.
I immediately became friends with her on Facebook and got to know her more through her posts.
Carol is the real deal. She is a "what you see is what you get" kind of person.
Today I celebrate #thisiscrazylove2016 with Carol because without her in my life it would just be a little less joyful.
