I Want(iez) to share #thisiscrazylove2016 with a voice and talent like none other.

Today’s hashtag mutiny against the antisocial behavior in social media goes to my dear, sweet friend Darci Wantiez.

Darci is the one in yellow. Her comedic timing kills me.

I am about to do a little bragging here. I have actually shared the stage with this wonderful actor and worked through dialogue with her.

I’m not a working actor. Some may say I have more of a face for radio. You could say I’m more Steve Buscemi handsome and less of the Jude Law looks.

Darci, as an actor is a dream to work with. As talented as she is she is even more giving to the others onstage. she brings out the best in the fellow actors with which she’s sharing stage time.

Darci also sings the curtains off a theatre. Her voice produces a series of notes that make the theatre goer assume the ticket price they paid to hear these notes was a steal.

When Darci sings, things stop moving. People stop moving. They listen because every once and while someone comes along who just shouldn't be able to do what they are doing and it doesn't quite seem fair that they are doing it. Basically I'm saying D…

I got to know Darci mostly through working with her when we were both peddling faith at a local church. We became sounding boards for each other through the more difficult navigations of working in a church. That’s not to say we didn’t have fun times but you really get to know someone through the tough stuff. We would take turns meeting in each other’s office to get talked out of the tree either of us might be sitting in from time to time.

Darci is the woman in green in this photo. Not the woman in the green dress; the WOMAN IN GREEN.

I look forward to the things she posts online. I look forward to seeing her and hugging her neck. I look forward to the new shows she’s doing and the work she gets involved with. Truth be known, as I begin to build this creative endeavor I am on, I look forward to working with her again in a creative capacity because her originality is contagious, her work ethic is unstoppable and her talent produces an ether in the air that just needs to be breathed in.
