Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Or Valentines' day. Whatever. At least I know one thing. It isn't ValentiMes day. That I know for certainly sure.
The Beckster and I don't do a whole lot for Halmark's "say you love that special someone" day.
Tonight I went to see a movie. The Funny Valentine movie. Yes. I'm talking about Deadpool.
Here's the honest truth. Deadpool is a silly, potty mouthed, irreverent character and he reminds me of a very special friend of mine. That someone is Rachel Jrade Rice. And I love her for it!
Rachel's quick wit and crass sense of humor is like the feel good movie of the year for me. It's always so refreshing.
We wanted ice cream cake. So that's what we got. Every adult in the building wanted to be us and every child wanted to be with us.
I've said this many times before and I will most certainly say it many more. I often judge my friendships based upon how those friends love my wife.

Rachel loves my wife very well. Which is great and all. But what's equally awesome is our time together. My wife and her husband typically will trade eye-rolls while they listen to their spouses trade stupid or inappropriate jokes back and forth. We can go on for hours and it's so much fun.
In the midst of all that Deadpool like banter is an indestructible love. She's amazing.
